Why UncommonTEEN Exists
Today’s teens are growing up in a world filled with confusion, comparison, and compromise. UncommonTEEN is a ministry that helps teens discover their true identity in Christ, grow in their faith, and walk in their God-given purpose. Through our podcast, online community (SOAR), Bible studies, conferences, and life coaching, we’re raising up a generation of young people who boldly stand for Jesus.
"My name is Grace, and I'm 14 years old. I have been raised in a Christian family my whole life. However, I would say that I only just started a personal relationship with Jesus in the last year.
I have only just started listening to your podcast recently. I listen to 1 or 2 episodes a day. I have this friend in my class who has proudly stated that she is an atheist on more than one occasion. Many times she has said mean things about Christians. Over a long period of time, I kept thinking about Paul's story in the Bible. I can confidently say that I heard the Lord say to me - No one is ever too far gone.
Then, I was listening to UncommonTEEN on the way to school. It was the episode on how to lead someone to the Lord. The whole time I was listening, I kept thinking about my friend. I decided that after class that day, I would talk to her.
I followed the structure, and I connected with her in such an incredible way. I felt like I was seeing her the way God saw her. She was hurting beneath the surface. I connected with her, we talked about God and His perfect love for us. I prayed the prayer of salvation with her and at the end prayed over her. and she gave me a big hug.
I just wanted to let you know how much your podcast means to me, how you inspired me, with the help of the Lord, to step out of my comfort zone and plant a seed of starting a relationship with Jesus in her heart."
